Collingham's Creative Spark: The Gallery

At Gusto House, we're all about community, connection, and creativity. It’s so important for us to bring the people of Collingham together. We are proud to be a welcoming space where people can come together to learn, grow, and be inspired. One of the most vibrant parts of Gusto House is The Gallery. It’s more than just a room with art on the walls; it's also a hub for local artists wanting to showcase their talent.

Our gallery is a beautiful, light-filled space that doubles as a communal studio. This unique setup means you can get your sweat on in an exercise class, dive into a creative workshop, or connect with other parents in a baby group, all while surrounded by incredible works from local artists. It’s a truly immersive experience that blurs the lines between art appreciation and daily life. You don’t have to set aside a special trip to enjoy art; here, it’s a natural, inspiring part of your day.

We believe in supporting the incredible talent right here in our community. Our gallery offers local artists a unique opportunity to exhibit their work with a fantastic introductory offer of just £120. This fee covers everything you need to showcase your talent and includes:

  • A generous two-month display of your work.

  • Use of our easy-to-use gallery hanging system.

  • Marketing support from the Gusto House team to promote your exhibition.

  • No commission on sales, meaning 100% of the price goes directly to you.

  • A one-day exhibition event on a weekend of your choice, allowing you to host an open day for the public to view, appreciate, and purchase your art directly.

We've also been a proud venue for the Collingham Art Trail, a fantastic event that brings art lovers from all over to explore our village's creative scene. It's an honour to be part of such a wonderful celebration of local creativity, and we love seeing the energy and excitement it brings to Gusto House.

Celebrating Our Artists

This year, we have been privileged to host the work of some truly remarkable artists.

Tanya Vanessa Foster: Tanya is a fine art painter born in Nottingham to an artist mother and musician father. She studied art at Lincoln, Loughborough, and The Slade School of Art in London. Her work spans a wide range of styles, from figurative to abstract, with a common thread of distilling an intimate sense of time and place through movement, colour, and focus. An inveterate traveller, Tanya’s paintings often reflect her experiences in the Eastern Mediterranean, particularly Cyprus, Istanbul, and Eastern Turkey. She has also recently created a new series of abstract paintings inspired by her love for sailing in Italy and Greece.

James Wagstaffe: At just 13 years old, James creates photographs that are a fusion of artistry and emotion. Through his lens, he captures fleeting moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, drawing inspiration from the world around him and finding beauty in both the everyday and the extraordinary. Whether it’s a sun-kissed landscape or a captivating wildlife close-up, each frame tells a story, inviting you to see the world through his eyes.

It's a place to be inspired, to connect with like-minded people, and to feel the creative pulse of Collingham.

We invite you to come and see for yourself. Check out our schedule to find a class that speaks to you. If you're an artist interested in displaying your work, please email jed@gustoventures.co.uk to learn more about our opportunities. We can't wait to welcome you to our creative community!
